SGT John Kyle Daggett

Sergeant John Kyle Daggett was born on 30 September 1986 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He graduated from Pinnacle High School in 2005. Kyle entered active service on 2 June 2005. Kyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, paintball, and working out.

Upon completion of One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, SGT Daggett graduated from the United States Army Airborne School before assignment to 1st Platoon, Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, in November of 2005. During his time in 1st Platoon, Kyle served as rifleman, the platoon RTO, and a fire team leader. SGT Daggett graduated from the United States Army Ranger School on 7 May 2007, returning to 1st Platoon in time to lead his team through pre-deployment training and in support of OIF 07-09.

SGT Daggett’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, and Parachutist Badge.

SGT Daggett is survived by his mother, Colleen Czaplicki, his father, Jack Daggett, and his sister, Kendall Daggett.
