SGT Jamal Rhett, a native of Phiadelphia, PA graduated from Burlington County Institute of Technology Westhampton Campus.  He enlisted into the United States Army Reserve on 05 June 2004 and enlisted into the Regular Army on 27 July 2007.
SGT Rhett was assigned to HHC, 455th Chemical Brigade, Fort Dix, NJ in the Army Reserve.  In the Regular Army, he was assigned to HHC 1-21 IN, Schofield Barracks, HI, where he served as a combat medica for Bravo Company during Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09 and Charlie Company during Operation Iraqi Freedom 10-11.  He will be remembered for making people laugh, as well as his ability to care for and train Soldiers.
Sergeant Rhett's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal with Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism Sevice Medal, Army Sevice Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Combat Medic Badge.
He is survived by his mother Michelle Watson.
