Private First Class James F. McClamrock, a native of Huntersville, North Carolina, entered the Army in October of 2009 as an Infantryman.  Upon completion of basic training at Fort Benning, GA, PFC McClamrock was assigned to B Company, 1-27th IN "Wolfounds", 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, HI.  PFC McClamrock deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn in July of 2010.
 
PFC McClamrock's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbion, and Combat Infantryman Badge.
 
He is survived by his wife Shannah.
